My last CR123A disposables usually die the day after the first warning, not sure how this one's going to go, could be a false positive or could be a problem. We had an 8-hour long power outage so I dunno how that may have affected it (polling for wifi that's not working can do drain a battery if the programming doesn't have it idling). The addition of a closer Wi-Fi hub to help with the growing wifi competition in my development has corrected slow-connection issues I was otherwise beginning to have. The motor does not currently sound weak nor is the lock irresponsive. I am letting it run its course as part of the pseudo-benchmark. As a reminder, I have two sets, so alternating isn't too big of a deal. We're 17 days into this charge cycle, got my first low battery warning today (20% per app report).

The fact I had trouble finding a proper CR123 rechargeable was just as annoying, so hopefully I can save a few people the annoyance (and unnecessarily recurring wallet hurt) now!
#CR123 RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES PRO#
I had the Pro kit at my last house and always used high power rechargeables in spite of August's advice, which I always found perplexing. Some people say they got duds by my sampling's good and the packaging was straightforward, clamshell style. That being said, I do have a set of 4 anyway. I'm pretty impressed, I can tell the power output's higher than on a fresh set of my last batch of Energizers, which hopefully bodes well for the time between recharges. Also worth noting the battery standard has a higher voltage variant itself that I didn't really try because the feedback on the rechargeables wasn't as great (at least for what was available to me?), they're dubbed RCR123. B&H carries a lesser voltage model but I believe it would be insufficient. Kinda by accident, but I'm so glad it's working because the price and waste (plus 2 month lifespan in my case) of the Energizer cr123s was starting to piss me off and I just didn't feel like handing August another hundred for a wifi adapter I'm not supposed to need to limit the hurt.Īllow me to introduce you to these little guys:
